The first website that I started is now getting more than 400,000 hits per month and I am selling more than 25 products on it.
Lots of people incorrectly apply online selling by only trying to sell their product using the pitch page instead of using the whole website to sell it.
The main reason I am successful in online selling is that I sell all products in each new page I add to my website, want to know how?
How to sell your product before your customer even sees it
Successful selling starts by building trust through each page you have into your website so that the visitor becomes faithful and loyal to you even before he knows that you are selling something.
I sometimes get mails from people who already bought all the products that I sell asking me if I will release more products soon!! As you can see those people want to buy something they haven’t heard about before just because they trust me.

By having superior content, the right slogan, the right site name and great free information on your website you can attract loyal users who will be willing to buy anything related toyour website.
How to use your website to build trust?
Give superior free information and people will want to buy the E-books that you sell or give superior level of customer service (answering mails fast...etc) and people will want to buy your other services.
Claim that you are the best throughout the website without even mentioning your products and those who believed in you will start to search your website for products that you sell. In my previous article How to be a successful blogger I explained how can writing with confidence and repeating your marketing message results in letting it become stored in the mind of online visitors and in motivating them to buy from you.
In short, successful online selling can be achieved by impressing the visitor to the extent that he starts to search your website for the products you sell. Now image the amount of sales you could make if your visitors reached this state and found a small ad for your products in the bottom of each page you have?

There is nothing wrong with having this dream. This is the 2007 and a year for making dreams become real. I can help you turn your dream into a reality. Here are a few things that can help you in pursuing your dream of being successful selling Online.
- Do not over saturate your site with advertisements. People generally do not like visiting sites that are flooded with advertisements. For starters, you don’t build *trust with your readers. Secondly, your pages load very slowly. Using tons of third party HTML code on your site can put a heavy burden on your page load time. If you page doesn’t load quick, the read will use the trusty back button and view the next page listed on the search engine result page. I have said this quite frequently, first impressions are very important. And typically the first impression I have when viewing a site that is over saturated with advertisements is that the author doesn’t care about me. It is quite obvious that * the author only cares about the money I have in my wallet. And most importantly, my impression is, “Wow! Look at how lazy this author is by their feeble attempts to get my money! “. Trust is ultimately one of the most important things you can establish with your readers.
- Sell something that you personally own or believe in. If you own and like it, and tell others about it and why you like it, how better yet… how you found it useful, or how it has made your life better, or easier… then you will have a great chance of selling it. Who will buy it? Hmm… the readers that trust you.
- Participate in well known and trusted businesses. Affiliate based marketing is awesome! There is nothing wrong with participating in affiliated based marketing. It can easily work for you. My piece of advise is choose trusted businesses that provide affiliate programs and stay away from programs that haven’t established trust with consumers. Amazon.com is a perfect example of a program that delivers success to thousands of people. Why? Because consumers trust Amazon.com and compare this company to other major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Best-Buy, Circuit City, and more… If you establish trust with your reader, offer a product that you believe in, and provide a link to a trusted company where your reader can get a great deal on the product that you own and personally recommend owning… That is called closing a sale baby! That’s MONEY! and you feel good because you are making money, and your readers feel good because they got a great deal from an article that you posted. The KICKER BONUS, your reader feels good about the purchase. Now, you have instilled a personal value in your site. You have a reader who will ultimately purchase just about anything you suggest. Why? Because the reader trusts you! And, don’t for a minute take advantage of that! The value of your site is not the site itself… it is YOU, you are the brains behind the content that is published. You are the EXPERT that found the deal and made the recommendation. The read ultimately, visits your site because of YOU.
- Limit The Amount You Sell. If you own a site that is all about bird watching. There are many products that you can sell which are related to bird watching. However, again… don’t flood your site with advertisements! For one month, offer one product. Maybe a nice set of binoculars! Write a post about this product and why you personally like this product. Another thing you can do is casually slip the advertisement into many posts. If you can find relevancy in an article where you can briefly touch on this product, do so…. but provide a link to the article that you wrote about the product and not to the affiliate page. If you sell yourself short, then you will miss out on the sale. If you casually slip a little paragraph in your articles about this product and link directly to the page where you wrote a full article about it, people can learn about YOUR experience with the product. This again, builds or re-establishes trust with your reader. The reader’s impression is a good one. Because they feel that if you took the time to create a full page article about this product and why you liked it, and how it changed your life, or improved it… then it really must be worth buying…. and again, lets add more kudos to building trust…. in the full page article about the product, you give them a link to purchase the product for the best price, ultimately giving your reader the best deal ever! That is trust, and that is how to be successful selling Online!
In summary:
- Build Trust With Readers
- Provide a Fast Loading Site
- Don’t Trash Your Site With Millions of Advertisements
- Sell Products From Trusted Companies
- Share Your Experience
- Provide A Link To The Best Deals Online
- Stay Focused on One Product At A Time (as your site grows, you can also grow the amount of products that you sell)
Don’t forget the reason why people visit your site. They visit the site because of YOU. They trust you, they believe in what you write, and ultimately when you spread the word about a good product and the deal you have found, they will buy!
